What happens to your data

Images stay in your browser

Pocket Convert converts and resizes images on your device using your browser. Selected image files are not uploaded to our server or sent to our analytics provider. The tool does not require an account.

Your selected images and converted results are held in the current page while you use the tool. Clear the files or close the page when you are finished. Downloaded files remain wherever your browser saves them; clearing the page does not delete those downloads.

Hosting and website analytics

Cloudflare hosts this website. Loading a page involves normal web requests, which provide Cloudflare with connection information such as your IP address and browser request headers.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits and loading performance. Its dashboard provides aggregate information such as the pages visited, referrers, browser and device categories, and country. Your selected image contents are not included in these measurements. These page-view statistics do not tell us whether you completed a conversion or downloaded a result.

Advertising

Pocket Convert includes Google AdSense code on the converter page. Whether ads appear depends on Google's approval, available ads and your privacy settings. Loading advertising code can send information to Google even when no ad is visible. The image converter does not upload your selected image files to Google or other advertising vendors.

Google and participating third-party advertising vendors may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, limit repeated ads and prevent fraud. Information processed may include the page URL, IP address, browser and device details, cookie identifiers, and ad views or interactions. Where permitted by your consent and settings, Google and its partners use advertising cookies to personalize ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Other participating ad vendors may also set their own cookies.

You can manage or turn off Google's personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings, and use AboutAds choices to opt out of personalized advertising from participating companies. Where a consent message is displayed on this site, use its options to manage your choices. Your browser also lets you block or clear cookies. Turning off personalization does not necessarily remove ads or stop all advertising-related data processing.

Your choices

• You can use your browser's privacy controls to restrict scripts or network requests. Disabling JavaScript also disables image conversion.
• Keep your original files if you need to preserve their metadata or exact colour handling. Conversion is not a complete anonymization tool.
• Links to other websites lead to services with their own privacy policies.
